The individual in the Process Engineer / Technologist role will report to the Process Engineering Manager, within the Technical Services team. This position is a temporary support for the turnaround (T/A) process inspections, utilizing sound engineering and operational knowledge.

On a daily basis, you will:

• Work with T/A, Operation and Maintenance personnel and other stakeholders to execute specific tasks and provide support.
• Manage Documentation; maintain and organize all necessary documents (General Assembly Diagrams (GADs), data sheets, P&IDs, etc.) required for inspections.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Technologist with equivalent experience.
• 6-8 years of industry related experience, preferably in Refining, Petrochemicals or Oil & Gas industries.
• Exceptional documenting skills, strong communication and technical writing abilities, attention to detail and well-developed interpersonal skills are required.
• Familiarity with petrochemical plant processes and equipment.
• Understanding of risks and hazards associated with various commodities of a typical Oil and Gas/Petrochemical Plant.
• Familiarity with process inspection requirements and understanding of GADs for verification and validation.
• Able to handle physically demanding work as this role requires Confined Space Entry, ability to crawl in & out of manways, and climbing ladders.

Asset:

• Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience and a proven track record in Turn around (T/A) Equipment internal inspections for process engineering and plant operations in a large, integrated industrial facility.
