Our client in Lévis, a well-established company in the maritime industry, is currently seeking a Senior Scheduler for a permanent position.
As Senior Scheduler, you will be responsible for the creation, monitoring, and analysis of project scheduling activities.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- supporting the Lead Scheduler with all schedule-related interfaces and deliverables, as well as overall schedule progress;
- creating, monitoring, and analyzing project schedules in accordance with approved project baselines;
- providing progress and performance reports as required by the project or contract;
- offering analytical support, as needed, for reports related to variances, progress, trends, delay mitigation, and schedule-related risks;
- leading the development of all program and project schedules, including work breakdown structures, key project milestones, and schedule baselines;
- adhering to the company’s scheduling processes and procedures;
- analyzing potential scheduling issues stemming from project changes and identifying possible claims.
Qualifications:
- College diploma in engineering or in a related technical field;
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in scheduling;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Primavera P6;
- Knowledge and application of scheduling and progress measurement techniques as outlined in the standards of the American Association of Cost Engineering (AACE) and the Project Management Institute (PMI) / Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK);
- Experience across various project types, including new construction, modular fabrication, and repair work;
- Strong understanding of the interrelationship between project scope definition, cost estimation, and commissioning;
- Solid knowledge of earned value management concepts, such as Cost Performance Index (CPI), Schedule Performance Index (SPI), and Estimate at Completion (EAC), in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction;
- Successful completion of the background check and security clearance required under the Canadian government’s Contract Security Program.
