As Vice President - Engineering, you will be responsible for mobilizing, supervising and developing a team of around 250 engineers, draftsmen and technicians in our offices across Canada, fostering a culture of efficiency and mutual support. Your role will be to drive our growth as a market leader, optimizing our processes, cultivating an environment of innovation and developing our people. As a versatile technical leader, you will coach your teams to reach their full potential in multidisciplinary engineering and project management.
As part of your job, you will:
- Develop and implement long-term engineering strategy, aligned with the company's overall high-growth objectives.
- Promote the development of engineering standards and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Organize and plan team activities, ensuring that objectives, deadlines and budgets are met.
- Develop the technical skills of our teams in line with market needs.
- Inspire and mobilize teams around quality issues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Find effective solutions to team issues through a structured approach.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure optimum coordination.
- Develop and maintain lasting relationships with customers and partners.
- Promote strong communication channels between engineering and other departments.
Skills required:
- Management: Be familiar with and understand the issues related to multi-office, hybrid and multilingual management.
- Expert in industrial consulting engineering: In-depth knowledge of the issues and challenges facing the industrial sector.
- Business acumen: Understand the company's economic stakes and be able to make decisions that optimize costs and profits.
- Systems thinking: Understand the complex interactions between different parts of the company (services, processes, markets, etc.) and be able to assess the impact of engineering decisions on the whole organization.
- Change management: Able to manage change and motivate teams to adopt new technologies and work methods.
- Excellent communicator: Demonstrate active listening skills, express ideas clearly and convincingly, and build trusting relationships.
- Results-oriented: Be able to set ambitious objectives and mobilize teams to achieve them.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's/MBA an asset)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering
- Minimum 10 years in a management position
- Minimum 5 years in consulting engineering
- Experience in managing a large engineering team
- Project management experience
- Organizational and planning skills
- Knowledge of multidisciplinary team management issues
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Fluency in French and English required, as you will be working with colleagues and clients outside Quebec, both orally and in writing.
- Available for travel outside Quebec
